Health science, the oldest and the most indispensable of all sciences, strives to serve the mind and soul of a human being.  The Department of Anatomy advocates learner centred education.  We believe that it is from the urge to teach well that the student obtains the urge to study well.

Anatomy the study of structure of human body, is a basic science subject that forms the stepping stone of the curriculum.  The discipline includes-

• Developmental Anatomy
• Surface Anatomy
• Radiological Anatomy
• Osteology
• Genetics
• Clinical Anatomy

The state-of-art Museum, Dissection Hall and laboratories provide an excellent academic ambience.  The Departmental library houses textbooks, reference books and Journals which are used by faculty as well as students.  Teaching is an art.  The department conducts regular Microteaching sessions for faculty members.

The teaching programme is prepared meticulously and we follow intradepartmental integration of the syllabus.

The department advocates a healthy teacher-student relationship.  The faculty cares not only for academics of a student but also for his/her personal problems.  It is a sacred institution that has allowed mankind to spawn and nurture lofty thoughts, to promote civilizations and convert mankind from a state of barbarity to beatitude, which shows that there is no escape from universal brotherhood.

The department conducts seminars and workshops regularly which help the faculty members to keep themselves updated with the advancements in the field of anatomy.
